So you know when you're dating someone new and you get all giddy over your first pic taken together?
Well we thought it would be fun to dig through our pasts (thank you FaceBook) and find each of our first pics with our hubbies and share a little diddy about "the moment".

Spencer and Kylie

2006.
She was 18. He was 23.
Clearly, they got bored and decided to go gangsta for the night.
Obviously, finger tats had to happen.
This silly activity most likely followed after a good game of guitar hero at the "Tree House."
Either that or a concert starring Spencer's band, the Party Pandas.
But for reals, "let me see yo grilllll!"
(Don't mind our awesome first college apartment decor)

Drew and Megan

2008.
First of all, Drew's necklace is super awesome ;).
Drew and Meg were known to be snuggly and cute, everyone loved(s) them.
Meg just downed a delicious hot cocoa after a fun ski sesh on the slopes.
Best friends always make the best spouses.
Meg and Drew are two peas in a pod.

Chase and Lisa

2010.
We were at the Pipe Contest on Oahu watching the surf.
A friend was visiting and snuck this shot unbeknownst to us.
It was a nice "tag" surprise on FaceBook.
We were tan and all sorts of giddy for each other.
I will be forever obsessed with the level of his blondness in this photo.

Tell us about your first photo with your special someone!?

FREAKY FRIDAY FUNNIES

Every year we like to celebrate our birthday together if we can. As we've grown up and moved to different places, sometimes that means only two of us get to be together. But the best times are the years we can all three swing a trip to be together. This year was one of those years!

We celebrated our 26th birthday exploring beaches, including one of our favorites because of its iconic landmark--Morro Bay. Morro Bay is the perfect getaway for outdoor adventurers seeking kayaking, biking, fishing, surfing, beach combing, and just relaxing. After playing on the beach we splurged at a harbor view restaurant for some steak and salad, and of course--birthday cake!

Even after all these years we prefer our own candles, and dessert if we're lucky. Our Big Sur birthday trip was definitely one for the books! Wonder what is in store for next year?

I call this series: Kylie with things on her head.

Kylie circa 2006

Dude. Best way to wear a backpack.
Kylie circa 2007

Again. With things on my head. Starting to worry. And what is even happening here?
I remember feeling very gangster.
I was very, very very wrong.
Kylie circa 2009
Years later and it's still happening. Clearly I have issues.
And what am I even wearing?

FRIDAY FUNNIES ROUND ONE | #BADPHOTOS #NOTPHOTOGENIC #NOFILTER

As we all know, we take a lot of photos these days. With the way society has progressed, social media and the ever-so-reliable iPhone taking photos is as easy as cheese. It's in our pocket every day. And then there's a million apps and ways to share those photos that are sometimes pointless and sometimes interesting, depending on what way you look at it - to other people in the world.

I decided to start adding a new twist to our Freaky Friday series, and call it "Friday Funnies." Introducing the ever-so-rampant amount of flash back photos, blast to our past with our embarrassing, most unappealing and odd photos on record. We've got plenty of them. Plenty.

Somewhere along the lines we started filtering what we post (only the good ones! I look awful in that one! Don't tag me!) but I'm so glad back in the day when Facebook was new we just photo dumped all the weird crappy photos we snapped doing weird crappy things that now are amazing entertainment and major memory busters. Without further ado... round one.
Kylie and Megan circa 2006
Let's start at the beginning shall we? When PhotoBooth on Apple computers was new and incredibly exciting and quite possibly wasted hours a day of funny faces and distorted foreheads and big time belly laughs.
Lisa, Megan and Kylie circa 2006
Don't act like you didn't do this. #nosepickpic
Lisa, Kylie and second Lisa circa 2007
Those days you got nothing done in the library because you were too busy entertaining yourself and seeing how many versions of your face you could come up with. Because that's what college is for, right?
Or how creepy you could look. Or gross... you decide.

FREAKY FRIDAY: FRIDAY FUNNIES

You know those moments when you see something that was a part of your childhood that you have long forgotten, then suddenly in a whirlwind of memories it comes to the front of your mind like it was yesterday? So much in fact, that you remember every last detail of that item almost like it was your childhood muse. Well, this photo did that for me today.

I remember these stuffed animals and how much we each loved them. I (triplet #2, Lisa), would carry around my koala bear everywhere I went. It's nose grew a tear and began losing it's cotton so I could push it in like a button! Kylie with her gray poodle, and Megan with her white, sometimes left me feeling sad that I didn't have a black triplet pup. But mom reminded me that we were each special and the koala was made for me. Most likely it only came in two colors, but hey, I like the way my mom put it better :). I love memories like this. I love being a triplet.

FREAKY FRIDAY

Raise your hand if you're so ready for spring break!
[Van gets it]

The road is calling!
Or maybe some place tropical.
Where ya headed? Where ya goin?
Any fun plans?

It's spring break fools.
Stop thinking about that trip you could do and just do it.
No more ifs ands or buts about it.
YOLO.

FREAKY FRIDAY

The day after our hair makeover by the amazing Ken Paves, we decided to strut our new doos around LA for some shopping and a night on the town. We couldn't believe how differently people looked at us. This was the first time in our lives that we weren't being stared at for looking alike. We were even referred to as "friends" by someone in the dressing room! Friends? Never. Never has that happened.

We feel sort of liberated as our individuality shines through our locks! The lighting in these pictures isn't that great, but you get the idea. After our first appointment with Ken we had to go back two other times for Kylie and Lisa to get their color touched up--it was quite the process! Me on the other hand, I just got to watch and try not to be a nuisance to everyone else in the salon.

If you watched our episode on The Doctors then you might be wondering who is the organic one, the rocker one, and the playful one. Well--is it not obvious? Lisa has the organic ombre blonde which gives her a more natural darker root to avoid weird growing out, Kylie has the rockin' red hair that just looks sexy and messy, and I got the 60s mod hair that is playful and feminine.

Enough about hair. You're probably sick of hearing about it. We just like being triplets that's all.

FREAKY FRIDAY - A DAY OF LOVE

We were stoked the other day to open our inbox to the sweetest message from these lovely ladies. They're triplets from Utah, and how beautiful are they? They're identical, too! It's so fun to meet other kindred spirits who know just what it's like to be a triplet. You can just see that these girls radiate happiness. Makes my heart happy. We are so glad they reached out to us. Like us, they're best friends and like us, they can't imagine any better way to live! Gotta love it.

We just LOVE meeting other triplets! Are you a reader out there, and a triplet too?
Or maybe you're a mama to triplets, or just fascinated by multiples?

FREAKY FRIDAY

We recently stumbled upon this adorable article in the Gazette-Times about three identical brothers who are claimed to be the oldest triplets in the state of Oregon. Throughout their childhood they also shared a room, clothes, and classes in school. During adulthood they went their separate ways, but always found a way to stay connected. Who knew they'd all end up in the same place where they can golf together well into their 60s?

It was comforting to read about another set of triplets that also refers to each other as "best friends" and "soulmates". Triplets (or any multiples) truly share something so unique that not everybody can understand. We hope that our blog can be an outlet for other triplets to network and of course we appreciate all of you for following along our three separate lives until we meet again.

FREAKY FRIDAY

when we were in high school, the three of us trumped down to the meadow from our cabin's porch with nothing but a can opener. our dad wouldn't let us use a pocket knife in fear we would slice our own fingers off so we made due with the ole rusty thing. it took way longer than it should have, and we carved one by one watching in awe as the bark peeled away from the tree and exposed our initials.

there's something so simple and rewarding about "making your mark" in the world. even if it's just an old tree in a meadow somewhere that few people go to see. it matters to us, and it means something to us. our love is inscribed on one of our favorite trees in one of our favorite places in the entire world. our sisterhood is forever.

FREAKY FRIDAY

GUESS WHO'S COMIN' TO TOWN?
Not Santa. At least not yet!

KYLIE AND LISA! I AM SO EXCITED!!!

Kylie is driving as we speak from California, and poor little Lisa (not really) is leaving the island of Hawaii (sad) to join us for the holidays! Our whole family will be home for Christmas for the first time in a long time, and to top it off--I'm pretty sure we're going to have a white Christmas.

I am counting down the hours until I get to pick up my sun kissed sister and her husband and then squeeze my other sister who is probably singing Christmas carols all the way home.

Happy Friday, everyone! CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!

FREAKY FRIDAY

Were you bald like we were?
We literally had no hair until we were 2 years old.

FREAKY FRIDAY

As we gear up for the holiday season and prepare for Thanksgiving just a week away, our hearts and minds turn towards those things we are grateful to be blessed with. Throughout our travel experiences I have to say this little girl, Luz (meaning light in Spanish), will forever hold a special place in our hearts. When I lived in Ecuador I gave her this hat. It once belonged to Lisa and then was passed along to Megan, and finally me. Luz and her sissies loved this hat and took turns wearing it each time I'd visit. It was such a small thing, but I wanted her to keep it as a gift to hopefully remember that awkward American girl stumbling into her village one day with a camera in tote. I like to think that although we can't always give a lot, we can give a little.
